I am having a huge clearance/yard sale BLOWOUT of Tattered Angels, Canvas Corp and even some 7 Gypsies products. <br /><br />Having been an educator, i have collected quite a bit of product and really need to clear it out :) Due to the volume, it is slow going and so far, i only have the Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist ready to go. I will be updating as i get other products ready to move.<br /><br />If you would like dibs on these before they go to auction and/or Craigslist, please contact me for an updated spreadsheet showing the product i have, the color and the quantity i have available for sale.<br /><br />the Glimmer Mists are all 2oz unopened bottles. Due to the fact that i have been carting them around for awhile, some of the bottles are a bit damaged and product has settled, but i assure you they are brand new and unopened. They are $3 each, plus flat rate priority shipping - if you spend $50 or more, shipping is free :)<br /><br />Please stay tuned, i have MUCH MUCH more coming!<br /><br />~shawnaAnonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16699365935431767884noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6514838940911705651.post-37845262982104315062014-01-01T20:02:00.000-08:002014-11-23T11:06:14.952-08:00<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
i subscribe to melody ross's "brave girls club" updates. i'm sure some of you follow her and know who she is, for those of you that don't - she is an amazingly talented woman (think Chatterbox of past) who has been through some serious trials and tribulations. She now runs an online (and real-life) art/enlightenment community for women...one of the goals of BGC is as follows: <br />
<br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #636363; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 25.609375px;">"We want every woman to feel safe in her dreams, safe in her weaknesses & frailties, safe in her strengths and accomplishments….safe in who she is and how she is and what she is. Brave Girls Club is a safe place to be just exactly who you are and who you are working to become."</span><br />
<br />
i go back to this site time and time again. i sometimes just find myself there. not sure how i got there or when i logged in...just drift in and pick up where i left off last. i can always find something that seems to speak directly to me. like, seriously - someone-must-be-looking-into-my-windows-and-writing-shit-down, kind of speaking to me.<br />
<br />
when i saw the "Soul Comfort" blog post pop up, i was drawn to the words that came across my screen. as i read, tears welled up and i thought - once again - dammit melody, you are in my head! the more i read, the more i realized that i wanted to be a part of this project, this class, this EXPERIENCE...so, after a quick check of my finances...<br />
<br />
i realized that i really couldn't afford it right now.<br />
<br />
bummed out, i walked away from it and went on to some other things. but, it kept nagging at me, i found myself saying "can i afford to NOT do it?" i have been in a not-so-good place of late, mentally, emotionally and physically. i have been questioning seemingly EVERY choice i have made and every direction i have gone in my life. i have been severely blocked creatively and this makes my soul sad. <br />
<br />
and so, i said "eff it, i'm doing it!" i authorized a Christmas gift to myself - to my desperately comfort-deprived soul and for the first time in a long time, i am so stinkin' CREATIVELY excited, and it feels awesome :)<br />
<br />
if your soul is sad or maybe just blah and you'd like to know what you can do to help it out of the funk, check out the blog post <a href="http://bravegirlsclub.com/soul-comfort">Soul Comfort</a>. if it looks like something you think you might like to do -even NEED to do - check out the supplies list and realize that it's really pretty simple and inexpensive. maybe, just maybe it's something that would help you out and give you that spark of anticipation and excitement, you can take the class with me!!! we could work on the prompts together and post pics and do creative girl stuff like that :)<br />
<br />
c'mon, just check it out...can't hurt :)<br />

<div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;">...ruining that copy of the photo of course, but in a really pretty way, LOL! have you ever tried Tattered Angels products on photo paper? i've been playing with it lately and have discovered some pretty cool results :) keep in mind that my pictures blow, as usual, and you really can't appreciate the glimmer and shine plus the vibrant colors on the photo paper until you do this yourself...give it a shot :)</div><div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;"><a data-mce-href="http://mytatteredangels.com/educators/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/IMG_6580.jpg" href="http://mytatteredangels.com/educators/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/IMG_6580.jpg" style="color: #0066cc; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; line-height: 1.5;"><img alt="" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-405" data-mce-src="http://mytatteredangels.com/educators/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/IMG_6580-1024x463.jpg" height="144" src="http://mytatteredangels.com/educators/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/IMG_6580-1024x463.jpg" style="border-bottom-width: 0px; border-color: initial; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-style: initial; border-top-width: 0px; color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; max-width: 640px;" width="320" /></a></div><div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;">the Mists are neat because the colors are so bright! you do have very little work time though, the inks settle in immediately. leaving them on a bit longer does give a bit more saturated color (below) - but pretty much what you spray (or flick, or drizzle or paint :D) is what you get...</div><div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;"><a data-mce-href="http://mytatteredangels.com/educators/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/IMG_6584-e1314130875872.jpg" href="http://mytatteredangels.com/educators/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/IMG_6584-e1314130875872.jpg" style="color: #0066cc; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; line-height: 1.5;"><img alt="" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-406" data-mce-src="http://mytatteredangels.com/educators/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/IMG_6584-e1314130875872-1024x701.jpg" height="219" src="http://mytatteredangels.com/educators/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/IMG_6584-e1314130875872-1024x701.jpg" style="border-bottom-width: 0px; border-color: initial; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-style: initial; border-top-width: 0px; color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; max-width: 640px;" width="320" /></a></div><div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;">i think my favorite Tattered Angels product on the photo paper is the chalkboard (below)...normally they result in a soft, dreamy, rapid-dry color, but on this paper...BAAAAM! <div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;">i am a very messy scrapper. i knock stuff over and i smear things that aren't dry and i smudge things with the colors from another project. my table is a disaster after i finish a project...so, i discovered my "style" and i'm pretty sure i get to call it grungy. honestly, at times things are unfix-able and i have to start over again, but more often than not i kinda dig what turns out...</div><div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a _mce_href="http://mytatteredangels.com/educators/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/shadow-box-2.jpg" href="http://mytatteredangels.com/educators/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/shadow-box-2.jpg" style="color: #0066cc; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; line-height: 1.5; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img _mce_src="http://mytatteredangels.com/educators/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/shadow-box-2.jpg" alt="" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-155" height="320" src="http://mytatteredangels.com/educators/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/shadow-box-2.jpg" style="border-bottom-width: 0px; border-color: initial; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-style: initial; border-top-width: 0px; color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; max-width: 640px;" width="283" /></a></div> <br />
this shadow box is a GREAT example of Shawna - the disaster scrapper's messy thing of beauty :) it started out as an unfinished wooden shadow box, some standard patterned paper and stark white cheesecloth:and soon became a variety of gorgeous Glimmer Mist Paints...i misted the box with a combination of Brown Sugar and Apple Glimmer Mists. i painted a top coating of Glimmer Glam in Chandelier to bring out the shine.<br />
<br />
i held the cheesecloth in a loose ball and sprayed with bursts of Apple, Sugar Maple, Cranberry Zing and Pomegranate; opening, shifting and re-balling the cheesecloth after each color.<br />
<br />
the patterned paper was pretty, but didn't match what i wanted to do; so i misted it with Apple Pomegranate and Cranberry Zing Mists.</div><div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a _mce_href="http://mytatteredangels.com/educators/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/IMG_5974.jpg" href="http://mytatteredangels.com/educators/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/IMG_5974.jpg" style="color: #0066cc; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; line-height: 1.5; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img _mce_src="http://mytatteredangels.com/educators/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/IMG_5974-682x1024.jpg" alt="" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-157" height="400" src="http://mytatteredangels.com/educators/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/IMG_5974-682x1024.jpg" style="border-bottom-width: 0px; border-color: initial; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-style: initial; border-top-width: 0px; color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; max-width: 640px;" width="266" /></a></div><br />
the "remember" tag was white with raised velvet and clear embossing on it. i also used the Apple and Pomegranate colors to enhance it; brayering off the extra mist to get the resist to pop.<br />

i used Apple and Pomegranate Mists and then Chandelier Glam on some of Tim Holtz's Grungeboard for accents. i didn't want them very dark, so after i applied the Apple and let it dry, i applied the Pom and brayered it off immediately afterwards. you see the flecks of the Pom, but it doesn't overpower the accent.</div><div style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 24px;"><a _mce_href="http://mytatteredangels.com/educators/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/IMG_5975.jpg" href="http://mytatteredangels.com/educators/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/IMG_5975.jpg" style="color: #0066cc; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; line-height: 1.5;"><img _mce_src="http://mytatteredangels.com/educators/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/IMG_5975-682x1024.jpg" alt="" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-158" height="400" src="http://mytatteredangels.com/educators/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/IMG_5975-682x1024.jpg" style="border-bottom-width: 0px; border-color: initial; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-style: initial; border-top-width: 0px; color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Bitstream Charter', serif; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; max-width: 640px;" width="266" /></a><br />

<br />
i KNOW, right?<br />
<br />
ok, for those of you that know me...*I* realize i'm socially-stunted and that this is way out of character for me - so, keep your fingers crossed that i can actually get through a class without tripping over something and pulling down a table or two somewhere along my descent. just in case you do schedule a class with me, remember two things: expect the unexpected and a concealable video camera is never a bad idea. feel free to send me your local scrapbook store info and i will contact them to find out if they have an interest in scheduling a Tattered Angels class.<br />
<br />
as far as on-line classes go, i'm still working out the details of them...watch for more information to come. subscribe to my blog for in-your-inbox updates and remember: shayna lives the easy life, shawna is the creative one. so very important to not get the two confused :DAnonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16699365935431767884noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6514838940911705651.post-91142788437500068892011-05-23T08:41:00.000-07:002011-06-10T08:42:01.363-07:00possibly new to you: 5<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fR38aFREOfo/TfI5yj1-w6I/AAAAAAAAArs/I2GrXyuksag/s1600/pets2.1+%25282%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="318" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fR38aFREOfo/TfI5yj1-w6I/AAAAAAAAArs/I2GrXyuksag/s320/pets2.1+%25282%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">sew on your page...first off, i don't sew. but i love how it looks. i used a punch to get my squares uniform (as my cutter LIES to me constantly) and then adhered them with a patch of adhesive (to be sure they stayed where i wanted them, as i am wont to knocking crap off of my table while working), and then just ran my sewing machine in a straight line. i know, right? the "straight line" was the hardest part of the layout, LOL! i love the patchwork look...you can use all of the same patterned papers or mix it up with coordinating papers, like i did.</div><br />
